So Fun! – First Ever IAGS Holi 5K Walk

IAGS Teen Committee 2016

Hats off to our IAGS teens and Teen Committee members.  They worked very hard for the first ever IAGS Holi 5K Walk & Festival.  A event so filled with fun that we still can’t wipe the smiles from our faces.  In the process, the teens were able to raise over $3,700 for Save the Children and Asha for Education, charities for underprivileged children in the U.S. and India.

In keeping with the mission of IAGS, our teens came up with a wonderful event that combined social, cultural, charitable and fitness goals.  We would like to thank those that participated, contributed, and encouraged our youth to meet these goals and help two noble charities in the process.

Holi, which is an ancient Indian religious festival, also known as the festival of colors, encompasses the social and cultural goals of the event. The festival is said to signify the victory of good over evil, and the arrival of Spring.  We could not think of a better way to ring in Spring 2016!
